Our Story

After defending my Ph.D. in Chemistry, my husband and I celebrated with a trip abroad. Every morning, we'd stop at a local coffee vending machine for espresso, and to our surprise, it was incredible. Even more surprising was that everyone used it. It quickly became our favorite part of each day, and we found ourselves asking, "Why don’t we have this back home?" Before our vacation was even over, we were already researching machines and figuring out ways to bring this concept back to Chicago. 

We spent the next year learning every inch of our kiosk, perfecting drink recipes, retrofitting attachments like the world's tiniest bar, and building the Bean Bar brand from the ground up. 

Today, Bean Bar is brewing cappuccinos across Chicagoland, from college campuses to innovation hubs to office buildings. What started as our favorite morning coffee has grown into something we’re incredibly proud to bring to our own communities. And this is just the beginning.
